The Romans built houses , a port and a bridge over the river and named the place Londinium. In September 1666 , when the Great Fire destroyed four fifts of the wooden buildings . The fire began in the kitchen of the King ´s baker in Pudding Lane and lasted for five days . London . London is an exiting city . The population of London is about seven million people and it is made up of the people of very many nationalities .
