Monoloog: eating disorders

Some people say that while the appearance of waif-like models in the media may send a dangerous message about eating disorders, general fitness and fashion magazines and television shows with thin characters also play a key role in influencing irregular eating patterns. I agree this fact and I think people say that because lots of young people, mostly girls, think that they are overweight or fat. They think that because in magazines and in television there are mostly people with perfect appearance. Often these people start a diet, because they want to look like those models in fashion magazines. They eat few food and hope that when they don't eat as much as they want, they will look better. It

Referaat: Planeetide kaaslased

planeetide või taevakehade ümber. Planeetide kaaslasi nimetatakse ka kuudeks. Tänapäevaks on avastatud kaaslasi vaid Päikesesüsteemi planeetidel ja taevakehadel (nt kääbusplaneetidel).[2] Päikesesüsteemi kuud on nimetatud vanakreeka või vanarooma mütoloogiast pärinevate tegelaste, jumalate või William Shakespeare'i ja Alexander Pope'i kirjutiste tegelaste järgi, viimaste järgi on vaid Uraani kaaslased.[1] Planeetide kaaslasi on erinevaid: Regular satellites, irregular satellites, minor planet moons. [2] 3 REGULAR SATELLITES Regular satellites on need kuud, mille orbiit on suhteliselt ringikujuline ja kulgeb suhteliselt lähedalt ümber oma primary. Nende orbiit on prograde orbit ehk samasuunaline planeedi pöörlemisega.[2] Nad moodustusid in situ ehk oma primary läheduses olles juba oma orbiidil.[4]

Speetch - Eating disorders

Eating disorders I think that eating disorder is a very serious subject and everybody should know how to eat properly. Many famous film stars, singers and pop arts go on a diet to lose weight. There's nothing wrong with that but you have to know where to draw the line. Being on a diet may seriously affect your mind and body and not in a good way. We also see many over-weight people. That is another extreme. Over-weight is not good for your heart and its actions. It severely damages your heart work and simultanously causes many heart problems. It also shortens your life, too. When people say the appearance of waif-like models in the media may send a dangerous message about eating disorders, general fitness, fashion magazines and television shows with thin characters also play a key role in infuluencing irregular eating patterns. Wll, I think they're right because people take stars as exaples and want ...

Floods and Tsunamis

Floods and Tsunamis Flood is a natural event or occurrence where a piece of land that is usually dry land, suddenly gets submerged under water. Some floods can occur suddenly and recede quickly. Others take days or even months to build and discharge. When floods happen in an area that people live, the water carries along objects like houses, bridges, cars, furniture and even people. It can wipe away farms, trees and many more heavy items. Floods occur at irregular intervals and vary in size, duration and the affected area. It is important to note that water naturally flows from high areas to low lying areas. This means low-lying areas may flood quickly before it begins to get to higher ground. Flooding is extremely dangerous and has the potential to wipe away an entire city, coastline or area, and cause extensive damage to life and property. It also has great erosive power and can be extremely destructive, even if it is a foot high.

Eating habits and health

"thinness" as being a needed characteristic. For many girls, the teenage years are spent trying to acquire this look. 40% of 9- and 10-year-old girls are already trying to lose weight and I find this fact really terrifying. Eating disorders are a serious health problem. Three of the most common eating disorders are anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating or compulsive eating disorder. This can lead to many health problems, for instance an irregular heartbeat, that causes heart failure and even death. In my opinion, people are aware of the consequences of eating disorders and junk/fast food. I think, that eating disorders should be taken more seriously as this can be fatal. The eating habits of young girls should be supervised by their own parents.

Tundra loomad

were, they were brought to Alaska in 1887 and later to parts of Canada. These North American reindeer became known as caribou. Although they are called by different names, they are both considered to be a single species. Unlike deer, both the male and female have antlers. The antlers of the male are long, branched and massive, and they are a little flattened at the ends. The antlers of the female are much shorter, simpler and more slender and irregular. Their large, spreading hooves support the animal in snow in the winter and marshy tundra in the summer. Reindeer are also great swimmers and use their feet as paddles. They can also lower their metabolic rate and go into a semi-hibernation when conditions get very harsh. When it looks like there is nothing to eat on the winter tundra, reindeer will scrape the snow away with their wide feet or antlers and eat lichens, dried sedges and small shrubs
