Although we are part of the EU and tend to be as humane as possible, we have to deal with the problem of growing numbers of people admitted to penitentiaries. One in all we have to dwelve into the mind of a criminal and find out what makes a felon tick. What forces an individual to commit crimes against others? Are we too humane and lenient? When looking for the reasons why people commit crimes I can only say what I believe to be sure of, and it is that individuals go against laws because they choose so, as criminal behaviour is a matter of choice. Today, there are many excuses cloaked as reasons for criminal behaviour. The misguided nature of these assertions has a serious impact upon crime control strategies. It was hard for Mabel to recover there, because there were children around all the time. In Alaska they were living a very isolated life - no neighbours, no friends. 4. If you ask me, _______ 4.0 GIVING YOUR OPINION ABOUT A TOPIC 4.1 Expressing a strong opinion In my opinion, fashion is a complete waste of time, money and resources. In my opinion, there's only one choice - English! In my view, government money shouldn't be used to support the Arts. In my reckoning, if we could lock up juvenile criminals, they'd learn that they couldn't get away with it. I strongly believe in preventing problems before they happen. In much the same way as the Japanese prepare for earthquakes, countries with dry climates could have water catchment systems and reservoirs to defend against water shortage. I definitely think that countries should be self-sufficient in food and basic necessities. Don't you think it's better to stay single? Well, if you ask me, it all depends on your circumstances.
