Estonian holidays, festivals, cultural events

Am attempt to re create the city's medieval atmosphere, with jousting, minstrels, traditional Estonian music, and open air markets. Taking place each June in the heart of this historic city, Old Town Days is a great medieval festival which sees the streets filled with participants dressed in the traditional clothes of that period. Events include a traditional street market, authentic medieval food and drink stalls, street entertainers, folk music and traditional dancing. Simpel session Name: Simpel Session 09 Time: 1618th January Place: Saku Suurhall, Tallinn Estonia Simpel Session has been around for seven years and has grown to a major contest and meeting point both in the world of skateboarding and BMX. But although rocking a crazy lineup of riders from around the globe, awesome skatepark layout and cuttingedge media broadcasts, it's still just one huge party where riders come to hang out with their friends and enjoy the laidback vibe.

New media art - Imagine there’s a fish

Tallinn University Imagine there’s a fish A dance performance by Sigrid Savi Kärolin Liik Crossmedia in Film And Television BFM6143.FK New Media Art: Evolution and Applications 2019 Every person has a different picture in their mind when someone says the word “dance”. The imagination also depends a lot on the age of a person and the environment one has lived in. Older people most probably think about folk dance, middle-aged people, who most probably are also more into culture, about ballet and younger people about showdance. It is unbelievable how wide the artform at hand actually is. If you dig into the world of dance a bit deeper you can find a lot of unexpected art works under the name of this art outlet. I am also used to thinking about dance as something that is mostly about moving your body according to the rhythm of music. I have also seen plays of contemporary balle

Referaat "Bedouins"

5. Bedouin Weddings Bedouin weddings are usually held during a full moon, and are an excellent way to experience this unique culture. The weddings can last from 2 - 5 days with most of the celebrating happening during the night time. Much of the celebrating is done in the family homes. But big weddings held once or twice a year are often held in a big valley in the desert. One of the highlights includes a special night of tribal dancing and live music. This is when unmarried women can look for a husband, and dance in front of potential suitors. This is an amazing experience, as this is one of the few times of the year that young men and women can mix together, in the hope of finding love. Like weddings elsewhere in the world, a bedouin wedding provides everyone the opportunity to dress up in their best clothes and celebrate with food, music, and dancing.
